In Celebration of the Life of Dorothy Downing-Mitchell:
(September 25, 1956 - August 31, 2005)
"And I heard a voice from heaven say to me: Write, blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on. Yes says the spirit, that they may rest from their labors and their works do follow them" Revelation 13:14
"Heaven's Dove"
Up to the hills I've flown away
And risen into cloudless day.
Upon the clouds I float so high
In my new home up in the sky.
My wings are shiny, bright and new
And I've come with some words for you.
Now listen up oh ones so dear
And give good heed to what you hear.
I first will tell you one and all
The Good Lord He won't let you fall.
So don't you worry about me
For heaven's where you knew I'd be.
Just thank the Lord I'm not in pain
He'll make the sun shine through your rain.
And when you face your raging storm
Remember I'm in heaven's dorm.
And I must say it's cozy here
I may seem far but I am near
For I'm the song that's in the wind
And I'm the sun whose rays descend.
I'm in the sweet and fragrant rains
And in the blood that's in your veins.
I send this message filled with love
Be happy now, I'm heaven's dove.

Thank you all for your comments. The funeral was today, and although I am sad about what has occurred, I know that the Lord did work His perfect plans and for that I will not grieve as if I had no hope, for my hope is in HIm. Yes . . . I am grief stricken for now, but I know that my grief will one day be replaced with joy. Thank u all for letting me share Aunt Dottie with you.
