Lines

no matter how i try
i can't get past the lines.
the wheel hits the earth,
i'm dragged over concrete
and can't touch the trees.
these roads are barriers.

give to me solid dirt
honest in its simplicity
give to me the horizon,
and i will stumble to it,
a toddler learning to live.
give to me a place to walk!
these roads are barriers.

give to me a companion
a person of the sunrise
an ear to whisper in
and trudge the centuries,
an old soul with fresh eyes.
someone for who the roads
are just a useless barrier.

    love it

This poem gives great thought, and great comparisons.
but on a different note, I really am loving your poems I wish I could comment on them all but I'm sure that you would find that to be monotony though. Anyway great write!
