no DARK tears

tears are cried

as the sun turns DARK

a waterfall begins

pristine within the heart

a memory never fades

as itz etched in stone

with every new day

life is still at home

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
turn the clock back
can be such a hard task
why not take the time
to answer questions asked
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

mortality is a given to humanity

flesh and bones; the temple of sanctuary

life is a cycle

measured through a block of time

awarded to each member of every species

upon expiration; emotions are left for the living

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
tears are cried
as the DARKness turns to light
another shining moment
will soon take flight
written on august 5, 2005 at 11:35pm...just about a couple of hours after receiving the news of the death of a very close friend. i was only two states away from seeing her. she had cancer which was diagnosed in late may this year. she told me as soon as she found out. two days after her news, my grandmother had died. i was more prepared for her death as she was in and out of the hospital with many surgeries. my grandmother weighed only 87 pounds the last time she was hospitalized. she didn't recognize me as she thought i was part of the medical staff; it was tough to take. my friend was given three months to live. she died very early august 2005. this poem is dedicated to them both.
    Hello Dark, it seems I've stumbled on the first one you've written in a while, I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your Friend and your Grandmother. No matter how much you expect it there's still the grieving process to go through.
    sad but written so beautifully
    Hi DARK, nice to see something new from you. It has been a long time. I am so sorry to hear about your Grandmother and your dear friend. So many deaths lost to Cancer. How I wish they would find a cure. Maybe someday. You did a wonderful job on writing this. I feel your pain. And I wish you all the best. Take care. Shelly
    So sorry to hear about your grandmother Dark and your friend. Losing anyone in death is never easy but when they die with something like Cancer..I get so upset when I think of what a person goes through just to live here on this earth and then when they have to suffer only to end up dying it just makes no sense to me.Hang in there and nice to see you back. I don't get here very often myself anymore. But I still think about all my friends here...and yeah that includes you. Take care. Alexis
