You always seemed to have a smile on your face
And you were always sweet and polite.
We'd laugh whenever you came over
And try to scare each other when you spent the night.
You never were the type to cause trouble
Now so many hearts are troubled over you.
Now storm clouds with a silver lining
Are covering a sky that once was blue.
No-one could have expected
What happened on that day.
Now the hardest thing to get my mind around
Is that you've forever gone away.
It breaks my heart to be writing this now
I wish it weren't true.
I know that my life won't be quite the same
As it was, now without you.
You always cheered me up when I felt bad
You were such a good person to me.
And though you've gone to Heaven
In my heart, you will always be.

Awww, I'm sorry about your loss. It seems like every year I lose a friend, and it's horrible. Lewis's death was the worst one so far, though. I wrote this right after his funeral, and had it put in the local newspaper dedicated to his family. I still miss him a lot. Thanks again!

Now I'm crying!!This one really hit home because just this summer I lost a very close friend that was killed on her motorcycle and everything you wrote describes her exactly,,,

Your words were beautiful. This poem is one I can really relate to right now. I just had a family member who passed away and this poem really captured how I am feeling. What a great poem.

Losing a friend, must be the hardest thing in the world. Even though you make more, those of the past always remain in your mind and heart. I'm sorry for this tragic event. You have my sympathy (and probably a lot of others as well.)

It's so tragic. A really beautiful piece. I'm sorry for your loss, but this is truly beautiful. Take care.
