God's love in a practical way

Giving rather than Receiving,
The feeling of joy
lighting up someones face,
just to show
GOD's love in a practical way,
Giving a homeless person a bottle of water
watching them smile
And quench the thirst that they wanted too for so long.
Giving rather than receiving,
brings a smile to my face,
a fuzzy feeling inside,
Love to my heart,
And Gods Love in a practical way.
Few rejections were taken,
Alot of thankyou's along the way
Maybe some seeds were planted
and some watered today.

Author notes

Yesterday, my church went on an outreach and my group passed out little cups of candy to local buisnesses along with a little piece of paper that had a little message on it. I even got to give a homeless woman a bottle of water and watch her smile! It was awesome! Showing GODS love in a practical way is really great! It feels alot better!

    You have found the secret of being a Christian. It isnt about you, it is about others. Act 20:35 I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive."' It is awesome to see a young person such as you who gets it. So many today are so wrapped up in their own needs that they can't see the needs of others.
