Standing near the crowd,
People cry in reverence;
Eyes see heaven's shroud
As they pierce His side-
Red, Love's flowing evidence.

This is a good poem to see who knows what it is about. All the images you speak of here came right to mind, since I know of the subject.

He loved us while when were sinners, and He loves all sinners now....it's what we did, and what they do that breaks His heart now. He still calls to everyone who will hear.
Very nicely done. Thank you for sharing this in the contest.

That's actually one part that I would be greatly amiss on if I didn't put it in. That's what it was all about- His love for us.

Such a beautifully sad take from an event so devastating, and yet so full of Jesus' Love for us all... Bravo!~

OH, this is sad, but we need to be reminded of the price He paid. After seeing "The Passion of Christ", it's made the cross and price our Lord paid so much more real to me. Nice work!
