Happiness Is A Smile

Missing image
I can not count the smiles in my lifetime
it could number a million or more
the first smile I saw was mommy and daddy
a smile looked strange I never saw one before

Well soon every time someone looked down at me
their faces would light up in a big grin
it made me happy to smile back at them
I thought what a wonderful world to live in

In childhood seeing smiles brought me happiness
as I got older the smiles continued for years
smiling can be contagious, spread it generously
sometimes a smile would wipe away all my tears

Your biggest smiles are for special occasions
Christmas morn, graduations or your wedding day
the birth of your children and anniversaries
you will smile thinking of memories far away

Smiling shows your loved ones they make you happy
it gives lost souls a bright spot in their day
a smile is an unspoken way to say thank you
smiling brings sunshine to even the cloudiest day

    4 Smiles* * * *

Hi Sis ~ This is so great....nothing is more contagious than a smile.

    When you smile at someone
With a frown on his face,
    That frown soon disappears
And a smile takes it's place!

I hope you have a day full of smiles!! ~ Linny

Smiles are always good. I like your description of how smiles are contagious. Here you go:

You're absolutely right. This was lovely, smiley (hehe), and enchanting in its own way. Great write.

Wow... that is just lovely! And it describes what smiles bring so clearly! 'smiling brings sunshine to even the cloudiest day' That right there is a great line in itself. I know from experiance that I can be down and recieve a smile from someone and just suddenly feel... better. Great write!
