Honk For Love

I know I should be happy that you're happy,
Except I fear that you're not.
Your words are nothing but lies, lost
In the carvings lining your limbs.
Something tells me they weren't labors of love.
And what happens when these knives refuse to cut,
When even these accidental burns fail to hurt
More than this separation from you?
Let me tell you Baby, Hiroshima's got
Nothing on the mass casualty inside me.
If I could, I'd spoon feed you all my lovely recollections,
'Cause these walks down Memory Lane leave me nothing but lost.
And I've got more skeleton's in my closet than any Japanese cemetery-
Won't you please take a femur with you when you leave?
It's not like it'll make me feel any emptier than I do now.
My heart's like Humpty Dumpty, and the Krazy Glue isn't yet dry.
I'm just another third-grader at heart,
Finger painting my life and not worrying about which lines to cross.
I hope there's a traffic guard at the next one,
Or else I'll be caught like a deer in headlights
And run over by the next Semi that rolls through town.

Honk if you believe in love, or even if you want me dead.

Author notes

I don't even know where this came from.

But boy, do I miss him..
