The desert sand seems to keep shifting
beneath his tired wandering feet
this Bedouin has lived a nomadic life
traveling a lifetime in the desert heat
His caravan keeps on the move
never finding a place called home
moving to find the next oasis
this Bedouin continues to roam
Traveling so many years and miles
he sits contemplating where he's been
most of his life he followed the stars
the call of the desert's beckoning din
In the stillness of the distant horizon
the beauty captivates him as he prays
praising Allah for his riches in life
praying through the warm desert haze
His sons and daughters have followed
like so many generations before
always living such a meager existence
faith and love gave them so much more
