~ Silver Rain, revisited : Skies of Life ~
Drops of glimmering salty silver rain, fall down,
gliding down along the pink riverbeds of life,
gently caressing their well-travelled roads.
Slowing down as they reach a hill near the end,
just to gather together for their imminent fall,
as they splatter down the waterfall of new beginnings.
Down they fall into the grounds of Gaia's Lap,
feeding the soil of solitude and comfort,
making new seeds unfold and flowers blossom.
As they are fed with twinkling sunlight,
blossoming petals are nourished with a drop of silver satin.
Grey haze, filled with sand of sorrow,
shroud the horizon in seemingly eternal glee,
taking the light from the once flourishing flowerbeds.
But 'nothing can grow, where the sun always shines',
just as nothing grows without Gaia's Rain,
and as the sun gives the grey haze a silver tan,
the silver rain finishes the circle of time
and starts falling down the Skies of Life once again

Personal poem, no public dedication.
Thanks go to Siiw, who's quote 'nothing can grow, where the sun always shines' went well with this poem.
Not sure if it is her own quote or where it originates from.

This was beautiful. I really loved the flow you had. I loved the way you carried your images through the poem to the end. Lovely job.

I wrote a poem called "Silver Rain" before as well, which was published in Mythology of the Heart by the International Society of Poets. Apparently I haven't posted it here yet, but will do so soon.
I couldn't find your Silver Rain on your artist's page, could you please post yours as well? I am interested in reading it..
Thank you for the comment

I like this poem. Really. Very nicely written and I like the metaphores. Incidentally, I saw this poem and just had to look at it because I wrote a poem entitled "Silver Rain" as well. I just thought that was interesting. Anyway, good job.
