Sometimes I think there's something
wrong with me.
Then again, sometimes I think
there's something
wrong with you.
Maybe there's something wrong
with all of us.
Perhaps there is something wrong
with the world.
As if we have a disease-
but not the visible kind.
Not a leprosy, measles, or smallpox.
Not a black plague, gay plague, african plague
but a human plague.
full of obscenities, ignorance and hate.
full of the money we love to chase.
A disease of the mind, of the soul.
We have lost our conscience,
and the fire that ignites...
Sometimes I think there's something
wrong with me.

Sometimes I feel exactly like this. And that is what makes good poetry - empathy. Well done.
(I have read some of your other work, but I much prefer this free verse. Can you point me to others of this type that you have written?) -
Truthful. I like it real well. Everyone should read this, and understand. Good job.

This is a really good poem. It sends a message that everyone should hear. I agree with you completely. The words you chose really helped it along. Great write.

I like this poem. I feel you are really getting something across here. This is certainly a subject everyone can relate to in some fashion. -
Excellent
This is a great poem, I love the way you started off thinking there's something wrong with you, then them, and then the world. It's so very true and I think we all feel like that sometimes, I guess we just have to really appreciate the rare times when the world actually makes sense i.e when in love. Great write and very thought provoking, keep up the good work!!! -
