Lonely hearts cry in the night
Filled with a longing
Of love and desperation

It seems like you have changed the order of the syllables with this one... traditional haiku count 17 syllables, formatted as 5-7-5... in this one I countest 7-5-7... I'm not sure if I have found your AHA-moment neither... allthough I can tell that this sounds like the beginning of a splendig, longer poem

Thanks for taking the time to enter
I wish you the best of luck!
