Little Me

Hey little me,
are you feeling alright?
I know things weren't perfect,
but just keep holding tight.
You're older and better,
wiser and stronger,
so you won't have to deal,
with the pain any longer.

Hey little me,
go ahead and cry,
let it all out right now,
lift your head to the sky.
Things are getting better,
but you have to hold on to,
release the kid inside,
and embrace the older you.

Hey little me,
stop hanging your head down,
do a mouth flip flop,
smile rather than frown.
Age has brought you farther,
than you've ever been,
life has granted you permission,
to live and laugh again.

Little me,
deep inside,
you no longer,
have to hide.
