Names are written in a diary
written are who, when and where
victims of a moonlight rage
terror ones should never bear
Flesh torn in just a moment
another victim claimed tonight
the crimson shade is flowing
another thrill another bite
Methodically he passes time
lurking beneath the bridge
knowing his work must be done
before the sunrise on the ridge
Death does not come peaceful
but eternal life comes to you
another name upon his list
he sucks the life out of you
His book of names seems endless
going back a thousand years
finding weak and lonely prey
then preying on their fears
Lost wandering through tunnels
underground became their homes
lost to the lust of crimson blood
amassed throughout the catacombs

Pretty awesome.. Do you write vampyre poems often? Your rhyme was pretty good, except the last stanza... I had to look for the rhyme in that one. Other than that, this poem was excellent! Great job, and thankyou for entering.

You really stepped out of the box for this one. Vampires??? Visiting the dark side? Be careful. you might run into Satan. Just kidding! This is very good...you have aquired quite a poetic portfolio. All that's left is Erotica...but that just wouldn't be good for your Grammy image. Bela would have loved this! Good luck in the contest!
