As my eyes watch a falling star
drifting down to earth
my mind starts wondering
what is my life really worth
I start to recall all the days
my life meant nothing at all
always looking for the answer
before I heard God's call
Many years seemed like Heaven
some years seemed like hell
I hid my tears from my family
I learned to hide pain very well
I wonder as I watch the star
as it falls from Heaven above
could it be God sees me cry
and is sending down his love
God knows it's only recently
I knocked upon his door
he knows how much I need his love
so he's sending me some more
God's love will make me strong
as I stumble along the way
when I feel I need some more
I will ask God when I pray
