I am sad today.
I lost a battle at midnight.
Temptation had a victory.
But shame did not reign the day.

I am sad today.
I purchased some new clothes,
Not much, but they were needed.
It was good to have a need met.

I am sad today.
I held a child in my lap.
It was such a delight,
For I love him so much.

I am sad today.
I took an inventory of my soul.
My spiritual condition is good.
I am glad to see I've grown.
August 20th 9 PM
I am sad today.
I watched a delightful old comedy
Staring Cary Grant and Marilyn Monroe.
I so enjoy the classics.
August 20th 11 PM
I am sad today.
I miss my mentor, my friend.
He ended his life in May.

This is such a sad one
Even though you bought new clothes and held a child, watched a comedy...but you were alone with no one to share it with
This tugs at my heartstrings my friend....I am so sorry you are still coping also the loss of your friend
