Weight Upon My Shoulders

Up all night
Not a wink of sleep
Nightmares to real
Dragging me umder
Drowning me in fear
Shaking beneath the moon
Hiding in the shadows
Fashcard memories
Of torturous times
Dance through my mind
Hands of ice
Seeking out the innocense
Tainting this child
Raping the body
Scarring the soul
Tormenting the mind
So long ago
Not once
Not twice
But many times over
Now here I stand
Many years later
So much older
Trying so hard
To remove this weight
From my shoulders
