she walks alone
through the closet and under the stairs
where she's been hiding and wrapping her fears
in a fierce exterior, with a heart on the sleeve
she mumbles a line from a song she heard once
hoping to make the words right, but not trying too hard
like her entire life has been
and she know that her life is now gone
she knows that what she wants is now gone
so what's left?
in this dull colored closet, this empty mistake
she made so many times she knows she can't take
to make the next one, another fall on her face
and although she knows that he can take it
she can't
he seems to love her embarrassment
her flaws and her fakes
anything but what she really is, but she can't let go
of everything
this is what she's always known
and she can't give it up for something that she'd never shown
and emotion of greed and a touch of jealousy
but who is going to blame her when he's out every night
she can't help but to feel alone in this fight
but this is the only way it will work
this is the only way it will work
so she lets go

Bravo.
Thats such a sad poem. I don't know why, I almost cried. I really like the flow and the way you chose to align and word this. Nicely done.
