Perfect Childhood

I live.
in the womb.
like a parasite.

Mother wants an abortion.

If I died now, I’d
never know
(sorrow).

Author notes

Well I’ve tried to create a really dissonant effect in this poem. And yes, the punctuation is supposed to look like that.

this is different....it shows the side of the fetus. what the fetus thinks when mom wants an abortion. the fetus doesn't want to die cause it hasn't experienced life yet and it wants to get that chance. a fetus doesn't have any say in what mom decides to do but this shows what it actually thinks inside the womb when mom makes a decision. death before life is horrible, no baby should experience it. it should be illegal to kill an innocent thing while it's in the womb.

I love the concept - the ultimate childhood, no disappointments, no pain - nothingness, in itself... would be perfect - there is no other way that it could be.

Death before life - peace without the unenjoyable experiences. Excellent write.

A very powerful piece, intense and thought provoking. It makes me sad from two aspects - one not wanting a child to be born and not wanting to have been born, thanks for sharing.

This is really different, but I like it. It makes me think of when I was depressed, and I would always wish that I was never born...and then I wouldn't have to deal with anything, or know what it was.

    Good work.
