Ignite

The tips of toes, hit bare floor
Frozen and cold, slipping past the closed door
Out into the dizzy hallway
Stumbling and tripping
As its clawing and ripping
Pulling and broadening
The eyes site stretches further

The length of the Armageddon goes for miles forever
With hands over the eyes
That fire burns too bright
Longing to grovel even closer though
Being passed around
To and fro
The stares grow

Laying gnarled at the feet of a high power
Most grin as I sit and cower
You look at me and say "I love you, goodnight"
Tortured eyes, blind, ignite

No more digesting the aching sorrow
Don't tread after me
Not tonight
Mourning won't cause any relief
"Everything will be alright"
