Words escape you mouth
Like a bullet does a rifle.
Even the smallest being incredibly
Damaging.
Nothing can stop them reaching me body.
Nothing can stop them tearing through my mind
My heart,
My soul,
Me.
Your words mean nothing to you,
Or to anyone else,
For they are aimed at me,
And my God
They found me.
‘Sticks and stone will break my bones,
But words can never hurt me’;
My version is:
‘Sticks and stones will break my bones,
But words will almost kill me’.
There is no defence, no shield,
Once they have left your mouth,
There is not taking them back;
The damage is done.
A wound created by words
Will take a long time to heal,
Ad you have no idea
How they make
Me
Feel.

Awww sweeT poem and so true sometimes as well. I hate it when you say something though and you know that it's hurt someone but whatever you say after that doesn't matter because they still rember that and still remain hurt... *sighs*

This is really good! There was only one mistake here, you said in the first line 'Words escape you mouth' I think you meant ' your mouth' other than that, its awsome. I know where you're coming from, words can hurt, only people who have never been insulted or cared if they were dont know that. Sometimes people just dont get it. Anyways, keep up the good work.
