A light through the darkness,
Showing me through.
The soul of another,
caught in my heart.
You guide me,
and show me your ways.
The darkness starts to shows its face,
and I'm running from the light.
But I know the way that I should live,
and the way my heart is leading me.
You've died for me,
yet I still refuse you.
Your trust that I will come back,
never fails to know.
YOu are the way, the truth, and the light,
I will live by faith and not by sight.
Author notes

When we are our most battered and torn, it is then Jesus picks us up and carries us cradled against his heart
This is such beauty and wisdom from one so young, for me, at least
I am going to come back tomorrow and read some more of yours I have missed!

Amen! I loved this piece, awesome job! I really liked how you wrote it, spacing it out. It made it seem longer, and somehow...more meaningful. Great flow, and I loved the ending, "You are the way, the truth, and the light, I will live by faith and not by sight."
Keep on writing!
