Chester Bunny Goes To School
Chester was up at the crack of dawn
he knew it was the first day of school
the long hot summer was now over
no more baseball or swimming pool
This year it's special, it's junior high
his thoughts have now turned to a girl
Penny is so cute with long red hair
you see she is a flying red squirrel
He first saw Penny in the meadow
leaving his warren late one day
Chester hid amongst the wildflowers
then he turned and quickly ran away
But this year he was ready for love
he got up and brushed his fur
put on a bow tie and a big smile
then looked in the wildflowers for her
She was looking real darn pretty
with a pink ribbon in her hair
then she smiled and gave a wink
she said Chester you get over here
Well Chester hopped right over quick
the excitement started him to drool
she said now make yourself useful
and carry all my books to school
They finally arrived at the school
Penny had a boyfriend waiting there
she was in love with Tommy turtle
once again the tortoise beat the hare

Hooray! Chester Bunny is back. I've been wondering what he's been up to. Poor Chester...he should stick to his own kind and find a cute bunny. Those flying squirrels are too flighty. You should write more children's poetry. It keeps you young at heart. Love~Linny
