The Rose

A heart so delicate
a soul abused
A spirit broken
too often used

A man arrives
intentions true
He starts to build
her soul anew

she can't believe
He sees beyond
The broken woman
They have spawned

He sees the beauty
that hides within
He fights the wrath
of original sin

Slowly but surely
like the bud of a rose
She opens herself
she begins to grow
