Behind Your Eyes (A Nonet)

Swimming in the pools of your blue eyes
your love for me lies deep inside.
Your heart yearning for my love
my soul crying for yours.
Such beauty lives there
behind your eyes
I see you
wanting
love.

    Nice

I like this piece, it's an original to be sure. But the last line, it's just my thought but love, the repition almost lets the poem die instead of continuing on in a dreamy way. It still works and the poem is fine, just a suggestiong. I like the idea you're conveying her and the flow is constant and well done. Thanks for entering and good luck.

Oof, that stuck a chord, beautifully worded, unique form, and very artful in filling the poem, somtimes that is hard to do with a short poem...you did it very well!

I enjoy writing these as well as reading them. Everyone has a different take on creating one which makes them unique to pen. The amazing thing about this one is that it could have turned out to be so cliché because of the subject matter but somehow you have mamaged to avoid all that and penned a very tight and heart-felt nonet. Keep up the good work Poet, will be back to read more. gregg

this is a great poem, so nice in it's simplicity. i like how you used the form, and kept it short, rather than going on and on and on. it's to the point and perfectly describes the feelings. nice job.

I like this, the incremental reduction of each line gives passion and urgency to the yearning that the person you are describing feels.

This is a beautiful poem. It has such powerful emotion behind it, made even stronger by its conciseness.

This is beautiful! I have never gone out with anyone...but I imagine that when I do, we will both feel this way! I had never heard of a nonet before, but I am guessing that each line goes down in syllables..until no word is left! I saw the first line had 9 and the last had 1...well, maybe it is called a nonet for the nine..or for leaving us with none! LOL! I shall soon find out from my old pal, the dictionary! Keep up the good writing!

A pleasant piece which successfully expresses your emotion - specifically love. The form is not familiar to me but I found it interesting - nice work.

Very profound writing. Did you write this very quickly or did it take some time working out the words in each line? Quite unusual. I liked it.
