from your memory of time.
Throughout your life, experiences
will rekindle thoughts of me.
Of the songs I sang,
of the hugs I gave
and of the kisses
you received
from me.
My love for you will never die
though I left you long ago.
I have been with you
throughout the trying times.
Helping you by
whispering silently,
encouraging quietly
and lovingly
all the time.
You did not know I was there
but in your heart I think you knew.
I will be with you always
there in the depths of your soul
until we are together again forever.

When one loses a parent at a young age, there are ways to compensate. Prayers at night, visits to the cemetery for talks, etc. Children are very resilient, but a mom's love is difficult to lose, at any age.

A lovely write. Heartfelt and poignant. Good flow and tone. Lovely depth of feeling. You express a Mother's love beautifully in this piece. Well penned.

Beautiful,
and comforting. I still have my mother, but I lost my Grandmother, and she was my heart, so I can somewhat relate. However, I'm sure that this write will help to soothe someone in grieving over the loss of their mother, for it is true, even though they are gone, they live on in our hearts. I believe in angels, and just as God has his special angels on earth, I believe we all have a guardian angel...Okay, I am way off on a tangent now, this poem just warmed my heart, and brought back memories.
Thanks For Sharing,
and May You Always Be
Blessed,
Sincerely,
Sassy

Very soft like a pillow that comforts the heart. A mother will always be a mother inspite of anything that time will foretell.
My favorite lines:
I have been with you
throughout the trying times.
Helping you by
whispering silently,
encouraging quietly
and lovingly
all the time.
Lovely lines like a Mother's love.
Thanks for sharing and see you around.

Excellent
What a stunning poem that almost brought me to tears,
It makes one stop and think that even though the physical may be gone, spiritually love still looks out for what has been left behind. You did an excellent job with this and I wish you all the best in this contest.

Very nice write here, Ms. G, You'd fill the void of many an empty heart chamber... a fine mum indeed! I'll bet your are underappreciated, too! Thanks for an early birthday present!
Glad you got to actually be a mum in a poem without feeling guilty! -
There is something about the bond between a mother and her child. You feel it, you sense it, you know it's there even though you may not have the comprehension and understanding of someone more mature to know what "it" is. This is very beautiful. You have done a wonderful job here.
