Dad

Why must you always yell?
God, how your screams fill the house
You make all of our lives a living hell

I understand its not you screaming
Its the alcohol
Some days I just wish I was dreaming

You say how you hate my mother
How can you say something so hurtful?
And all those hateful comments about my brother

I try to love you, Dad
Even as you`re throwing things
I want to stay here with you so bad

I have to go
I have no choice
Just thought you should know

You`ve caused me to want to leave this place
Why couldn`t you just stop for one night?
I will never forget your drunken face

Very well done. I felt a great sadness reading that, for I know how you feel. Keep up the good work... very emotional writing you have.
