Colors are bleeding
From the white sheets
Linen-that is something special-
(And it comes in four shades of gray)
Black and blue and red and yellow: gray
Rainbows
That you can taste
(Sweet with artificial sweeteners)
You can fly
(For twelve.fifty)
A pop
Battles
With some bravery.
Hook your life
(Into the socket)
Sign here: x….
And here
And it’s done
There are policies
Like all games
Don’t break them
(Don’t you dare)
You don’t have to be scared
Or worried, or tense
We can take that
(Or happy or creative)
But that’s in the
Small print
If you don’t read it, neither will we.
Go on now, you’ll enjoy this
Because it’s freedom
After all,
(You don’t know what freedom is)

Lemme guess, someone enraged and disillusioned with liberal democracy and so-called rights? don't fret. You have a friend too.

scary and beautiful. you go through all the gray areas in life. and you do it flawlessly. i applaud you and your work on this - so creative and imaginative work. love the part about gray rainbows, such a pretty sight.

I don't really have anything to say--honestly this poem blows me away...the flow, the length, the amount of detail, it's all perfect. It's like what they want you to think...but in parentheses what's really going on...stating the obvious I know but I really love this poem.
