questions of the recovery

i know that in love lies lust
and i know your stories are covered in dust
and i think i've heard each line before
and i think i've heard each sigh before
so clear this up
would you be my beautiful contradiction?
would you be the one to question my motives?
are the one who knows when i'm lying?
can you tell me where i go wrong?
and questions lead to answers known
these lies lead to more stories told
can you see it in my eyes?
the self questioning thought that flies by
you're the only one who makes me laugh
you're the only one who makes me smile
and i know when you can tell
the lies from truths and wrong from right
you're the only one who brings out the truth in me
do i bring it out in you?
can i be trusted with your self serving mind
am i the thought in the back of your mind?
cause you know that you're mine
so call me out and tell the truth
cough it up and let it loose
i'm ready to hear it and i'm ready to take it
open up
