free speech isn't

I would rather live in a place where the rules were clearly defined
where speech was regulated and freedom was a pipe dream
than to live in a culture that embraces the idea of freedom
but doesn't have the sack to pay the toll when it's time.
A government that pays lip service to freedom while taking it away
is kind of like unprotected sex with a whore. It might feel good
but it's going to burn you.
What's the point of having a voice when the guy shouting loudest is deaf?

i like the idea of what you've said... but i don't particularly like the way you've said it... the last line however saves it all... that one line sums up everything in such an outstanding revelation that you have to reread just that one line like six times... the rest is ok but the last line is substantially more poetic and brilliant than the rest.
