untitled 6

    how to break a habit
    i thought was absolute
to convince myself it doesn't matter
    feelings aren't always true

    built up around perfection
is this problem mine or yours?
i've been there a time or two
    but it's different than before

    identical situation
    but the pressure's slowly draining
    i can even breathe again
    instead of suffocating

    disappointment's unavoidable
    as i'm starting to realize
my fulfillment is no longer found
    through approval in your eyes
