O beauteous creature of the Himalayan hills:
Neither bird with two great big flapping wings,
Nor fish with bony fins and breathing gills,
You are one of those hairy sheep-like things.
I know you aren't really very pretty
And your coat is dull, neither white nor black;
But my belief, in this soaring ditty,
Is that there's naught so gorgeous as a yak.
I accept your breath is smelly and bad
And your teeth are often really horrid;
But a yakky lass and a yakky lad
Can sometimes get frisky and quite torrid.
You dumbly provide wool warmer than silk
And words of complaint you never utter;
Brave Tibetans prize your yak-mother's milk
And make it into yukky yak butter.
So to all the hirsute yaks of this world
I humbly dedicate this little poem:
Let your proud yak turdlets be uncurl'd;
And be yakky whe'er you fucking roam.

Whoa!!! That second to last word (fucking) really surprised me. My eyes literaly bulged, that was soo unpredictable and awesome. I find it really funny how this is an ode to a yak, but you have parrots on the side. I think in animals, the should have a picture of EVERY SINGLE animal they can think of at the time...and put it there. if II creted the site, I would do that. .......I would!!! even though it'd be a lot of time, but googling is always fun.
Very funny. I think if you read between the lines though, you could see a bit of it not being about a yak completely. Like you're explaining how an ugly guy (or girl) is not really ugly because it's what they can do/what's inside...and yeah. i saw that through the piece. -
You know, I will never look at a yak again in the same way. This was a funny and descriptive look at the yak and I know that yak turlets everywhere would be proud of this piece. Great job!....Than kyou for entering my contest and good luck
