When everything in life is hard,
and when you feel you've had enough,
I cast this spell, a magic ward
to make you stronger, make you tough.

I wrote this for a friend that had big problems in her life. She kept it in her purse, and everytime she felt depressed, she would take it out, and read it again...

Hi, Cherokeesquaw. No, actually I meant ward. I have pasted the definition from the dictionary. I use ward in meaning 8 to 10, underlined below... Btw, thanks for the comment, and the applause, I really appreciate it a lot. This poem is actually a real spell, and I wrote this for a friend that had big problems in her life. She kept it in her purse, and everytime she felt depressed, she would take it out, and read it again... Hope you can get the same use of it, and that it helps you through your life. Blessed be!
Jim

you said "I cast this spell, a magic ward. did you mean word or wand. What ever it is, I believe I could use it right now and I have to believe every hurt we go through it has to make us stronger or it will break us. I am too sensitive to everything but strong willed and broadminded, and loved these words. Thanks for sharing that and thanks for the comment on the Abuse has got to stop. I really think it does have to stop. Anyway thanks for sharing your poem with us. Was very meaningful to me.

Thanks, Joyce. It was a help for her in a time when she needed it the most. You know, I decided I'm going to tell something I've not told anyone here yet, you'll be the first to know; the one I wrote this poem to, is the same I write about in the poem "In loving memory".

So Nice!!!
Jim, That was so good of you to do that for your friend. It is very comforting to know we have friends who are always there for us and it sounds like you are for her. This was a nice little spell to cast and give her strength when she needed it most. I'm sure you help her to
, this certainly made me
!
Great job.

Hi, Buffy! It's been some days since last time, though I've seen your trail all around the featured poems...
Yes, this was written as a spell, and I do believe it works, if you just believe in it.
-
Hi, LadyUnique. You ask if I ment "word" or "wand". No, "ward" is the word...
A ward is like a defence - i.e. you ward your face if someone threatens to beat you...
-
Hi, Ray Von. Yes, the poem helped her through a difficult time in her life, and everytime I saw her, she took it out of her purse, and said "See, I still have it!" with a smile...

INSPIRING!
Oh, this is so good. Yes, there comes a time, when you feel like dropping everything and moving on. It is then that you need strength. Even I shall carry this one around. Very good one. I wish you all the best. -
Magical!
Well youve cast a spell on me!Wrote it down, stuffed it in my purse and if it doesnt work will return to curse you!Only kidding !What we all need is a magic wand! -
very good thought to give to a friend and now you are sharing it with us
one question "magic ward"... did you mean wand or word? ward would fit too... i was just curious
-
You helped her a lot then because this poem is encouraging her to accept and at the same time to be tough, not let herself be put down and to stand up for herself.
I'm sure that you helped her a lot and that she will be grateful for it.you are a good friend.
Maria
