God bless you for serving your country
the American landscape seems far away
birthdays spent in Iraq and Afghanistan
you are all in our prayers every day
May the good Lord watch over all of you
you are America's bravest and best
you sacrifice for your love of country
you stand tall to fight freedom's quest
You may be young and be so fearless
you are wise beyond your young years
with soldiers like you to protect us
our great homeland has nothing to fear
May God bless you all and keep you
wrapped in His arms safe and sound
may He protect you from the enemy
and all the nightly mortar rounds
When our soldiers come marching home
your families will be here for you
we will be so proud and honor you all
as we salute the red, white and blue
Thought you are away in a foreign land
you are still in your family's heart
our prayers will echo across the ocean
till we're together and no longer apart

God bless our servicemen and women. They sacrifice so much so we may live in comfort and free from a war on our own shores. Telling then thank you is the least we can do. God bless our troops and keep them fron harm. I hope they come home soon.

that was really good. My fiance is in the service and several of the units from hi base may be going overseas and i am puttin a book together for them before they leave. COuld i use this poem?? I will credit you of course. thanks
