Hollow Voice

Your shadow shifted
And I watched you fall away
Into that great expanse
Under the murky sky
Your heart darkened
Why do you stay away?
Sleeping under the bleeding tree
Drowning deep inside yourself
You turned away from everything you know
Just to stop your pain
Dew drops fallen on the new day
But you're still sleeping under the tree
I turned from you
You said I didn't mater
You gave way to your deep desire
Melting in my deepest ocean
I can't care for you anymore
I can't thing about you again
You're the one under the bleeding tree
The one that couldn't save yourself
Down the path of destruction
The path of isolation
Self-preservation was not an option.
