The zephyr breeze stirs whispering trees
Where leaves applaud their Maker God,
And anthems raise in whitecap sprays
While cloudy sky gives laud on high.
Still more the rain pours loud refrain
As thunder show'r hails mighty pow'r;
The mountains strong lift up their song-
Yea, stars declare His glories fair.
Yet though the coast of nature boast,
Though earth displays creation's praise,
My heart at rest doth worship best
In stillness sweet down at His feet.

All of the things you write about tell of God's glory. More than anything man can do..like the poet said, "Only God can make a tree" This was a great tribute to the Creator. thanks for the entry.

"For since the creation of the world his invisible attributes--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, because they are understood through what has been made" Rom 1:20. I think this piece declares that truth. All creation calls us to worship the creator. I love to go for walks in creation and pray. I connect well with him then.

To say this was nice would be an insult. It was majestic and expresses well the blessed of humility in worship, which is simply acknowledging who we are in light of the Lord's greatness. Worship is best when it is humble, genuine and motivated mostly by the nature of God.

This is the one I read yesterday - lovely cadence to it with the internal rhymes! Like a song. The imagery too takes you places without using clichés--this is a very fresh, imaginative, personal poem that ends in sweet contentment. Love it. ♥ -
