Can you hear me screamin’?
It’s kind of hard to say
I’ve been lyin’, I’ve been dreamin’
My inane thoughts gone astray
I don’t know what to do
I don’t know why I should
I’ve been cryin’ out to you
It hurts, I knew it would
Ripped to pieces
Stomped to the ground
Covered in blood, yeah
I can’t make a sound
You’ve touched my paper heart
You tore it into shreds
I’m soon to fall apart
You turned our love to dead
Slit the paper
Break the crease
I can’t stand it anymore
Never to know peace
Don’t touch my paper heart
It will rupture into bits
Shot it with a poison dart
Any emotion left has quit
So why should I still care?
Why should I still feel?
You slashed my paper heart
I can’t believe it’s real
Love’s to me immensely rare
Just leave, go ahead, depart
Confetti on the floor
Speckled in maroon
You touched my paper heart
Love’s no longer cried for

I love the metaphor of a paper heart; it makes this poems theme all that much more fragile. Excellent penning! Thank you so much for sharing your words with all of us here. Welcome to the site! If you have any questions or if I can be of any assistance please don't hesitate to send me or any greeter an IM. ♥FifthD♥ve♥

(from lilacpurple at fanfiction.net) Of course I care to comment! And I'm partial to emo anyways...this was a great poem, I dunno what you're saying about mine being better!
