Come have a cup of Irish coffee
well top of the morning to you
made with magical coffee beans
the leprechauns mix up this brew
The wee ones are hidden away
they live in the forest so deep
all day long just brewing coffee
getting stronger letting it steep
To find them is not very easy
you must follow any rainbow
there for only a brief moment
quick into the Forrest you must go
Following the meandering stream
till it comes to a sharp bend
a mile left then a mile right
brings you to the rainbow end
There you shall find such treasure
no, there is no gold in the pot
it is filled with a magical brew
Irish coffee that is piping hot
The wee ones welcome you
please come and sit awhile
relax with a cup of coffee
you have journeyed many a mile
They say drink up and enjoy
the coffee is a magical brew
for it only takes one little sip
you'll become a leprechaun too.
So better beware of Irish coffee
unless you don't mind being small
if you believe, I've another tale
Irish whiskey makes you grow tall

This is an awesome poem. I had to read it as soon as I saw the title. It's a unique and cute little rhyme what can I say??? If it's the coffee that makes ye grow short, then my family must have indulged in the Irish Whiskey many a time, lol. Good stuff, Muchas amor, Amanda

Tis a darlin' poem. And that's no blarney. May the Luck of the Irish be with ye in the contest. Love, Linny -
Very original
Very unique take on the leprechaun myth, very funny ending as well. It's a bit long but very engaging. Sometimes I feel the rhyme is being forced as opposed to flowing naturally, but most of the time it does flow. Thanks for the read. -
Very cute and I think I want to be tall, haha, but I do like coffee two cup's a day, nice poem very nice

I LOVE this poem! Wonderful and creative! The ending made me laugh.
This poem has hit home with me. Yesturday I saw a rainbow and followed it, and only found myself gazing into a puddle of water. Perhaps I'm a little leprechaun? Anyway. Great poem. Blessings to you. Gott Mit Uns.
