Hazel Eyes

The happy mask melted away
And her hazel eyes wept
Crystal tears slide down flushed cheeks
Her spirit broken

She feels as if the world is sliding away
All her friendships fading
She feels stuck behind closed doors
Behind dead white walls that are slowly strangling

She sits slumped in a nearly broken chair feeling distant
Sipping her nearly cold tea, feeling nothing as she clings to the cup
She looks at everything around her and wonders if it'll ever change

She wanders the apartment looking at everything through teary blurry eyes
It all seems pointless
Why eat?
Why care?
Why bother?

She stares at the computer screen nothing and her mind slowly begins to fade away..
Behind those hazel eyes she hides once again..

Author notes

This is the first poem I've written in months. I was having a bad day.. eh. Yeah it's about me but I'm over it now.
