I saw a woman
Mistreating a dog.
She was killing its dogness
With a cream scone,
So that all that was left
Was a lump of lard
And a pair of licking eyes.

This was beautifully done yet the canine creature had to suffer..I actually read it as was killing his doggedness..hahaha..sweet write up just like the title==Shubs

Your imagery is fantastic and makes you wonder what the heck is going on?! That's what I lilke about this poem the most, it can be discussed and interpreted.

Very interesting read. Not sure all capitals are needed but hey if that's your style, then it's fine. Favorite lines "She was killing its dogness/with a cream scone." Very effective and to the point. Love the l sounds in the last two lines and the image of the grossly overweight dog. Thanks for the very unique read.

Umm... I don't know what to say here... are you saying that that the woman was making the dog fat by giving it human treats? That's what I got from it. I'm not sure if you meant this to be funny or wake up society to the harms of obese animals.
The last two lines made me laugh, though. I can see the overweight dog still looking longingly for that next sweet from its owner. I say that because I have four dogs who are spoiled rotten... not with sweets, but with top of the line meat that I wouldn't even spend for myself!
