When i seek reverie i look up to the skies
in wide eyed wonder hues of ocean
and the angel in his eyes
he stands a tower over the hill of me
dashing tented under waves
of golden hair and a perfect nose
and shoulders like the horizon
i love not for the physicality
or the way he stands by me
not by heaven and earth do sing
echoed in the currents of his voice
i love not for the iron soul in his
blood reach valiantly
not for his jest of nature
humored in Shakespeare's pages
but for when if all efforts prevail
i look to see him standing in the
Valhalla of the Americas, a viking in his class
in his grasp holding a single red rose for passion
and his hand out willingly
the angel in his eyes, the love of his life
bear for all the world to see
Author notes
Vallahalla- the place vikings go when they die in battle
this poem is simply stating that what i see in him is what i he sees in me and whatever it it its beyond words
