compassion looked me in the eye
and boldly stated so
i am the lest felt emotion
of the human race
i am easy to feel
though no one chooses to feel,i am out of place
i am the soldier that chooses to fight,
the child who knows what is right,
the woman who puts her life before her child,
the man who does not beat his wife nor go wild,
the ever rising sun,
the life of an innocent little one
i am life.
now i've come face to face with compassion
and now i know
emotion is as emotion does
but compassion needs to be felt.
