Help, please

Oh no, all that effort
Has it been for nothing made.
Work by teacher and her students
Is now in limbo I'm afraid.

But take heart and do not worry.
Do not let your spirits fail.
All the work has not gone forever.
It's just locked away in computer jail.

Let's all cross our tiny fingers
and offer up a little plea
That some resident computer expert
Will have the power to set it free.

ADDITIONAL

Within weeks our prayers were answered
and we started class again.
Thanks to the un-named helper,
in our hearts you will remain

Author notes

The Allpoetry class Trim it down and Tighten it up HAD appeared to have been deleted from the system leaving us electronic students in limbo. WE'RE BACK!!!

Thanks Alan. However the problem referred to has been "cured" and the class has continued to the conclusion.

I know exactly what you mean by computer jail. A few years ago, when I was adjusting to Windows from Mac (Oh how I miss Mac). I somehow deleted all the anti viruse software, and half the startup system. You know, read only memory that you are supposed to be able to delete? Yeah--

Ah another monopoly maniac. Beware the danger of devil-defying digits. Crushed crossed toes are a little known medical condition.

aha yes, computer jail is a perfect way to describe this. Luckily I know my way around computers very well, my hubby is a computer analyis and insists I know how to get myself out of jail when it frequently happens......costs more than £200 though...anyway I shall be keeping my fingers and toes crossed for them, which will of course make walking to the shops difficult!
    Another clever ditti.

Well you're a bit far away for me to give an apple to teacher (and who can afford to give computers away anyway).
Would this be a good time to ask for an extension for my essay?

Thanks 7of9 but it was written late at night as a reaction to losing ALL the contents of an AP group. I wasn't in the mood to write more.

    Very good poem

Unlike you i am useless when it comes to computers, so this poem rings bells for me, (Alarm bells)ha ha
Having said that, i also like rhymes and this one was very well done, only critism is, i'm sure you could have found a couple more verses, or are they called stanza's ?
Keep it, up enjoyed the read.

    Thanks for the nice comment.
Having been around computers since they used valves I've learned the benefits of backups, so I can afford to sit back and wait.
