In the dark
My high beams bright
The rain glistening
in front of them
Flashes of white light
streak through the sky
I park
get out
The rain
soaks through quick
streaming down my face
I can hear the sound
Of the metal swings
being hit
All but one
I look
A man sits
His head down
He stares
to the ground
Maybe lonely, sad....
walking through
the wide Field
Rain dancing all around
the roaring thunder
Cackles loud
as I stand
Directly in front of him
He looks up
His lips parted
in a gasp
He tastes the rain
And its sweet smell appetizing ~
Inviting
He stands
words loosely
at the tip of our lips
But the sound
drowns us out
We hug
A much needed hug
Sit separated
2 feet of rain between
drownings out pain,
Misery..
Loneliness.
watching the storm
watching each other
In the rain
the vinilla flavoured rain

this poem was great....i waited to find something shocking or something out of ordinary....but all i found was a night where love was out to get you as rain falls and lightning flashes, thier love extends to hold one another as the rain leaks down their faces hiding the tears of joy......thats what i got from this poem nothing less and nothing more.....i loved this poem...............
