Than knowing, yet not knowing, who I am
When I'm with you
Just when I thought I was free
I got pulled in again
By the aroma of your presence

I have to agree with windssong's comment, I would be running down the halls of AP also, singing it's praises lol. It was an amazing poem. There were quite a few very good poems in this contest, but this one takes your breath away with the beauty of the metaphors and the overall gentle tone of the poem, it was excellent

It worries me when I find pieces of this magnatude with so few comments. I want to run through the halls of AP with a megaphone yelling for them to wake up and come read this work of art. I've seen love displayed so many ways here on Ap but I think this one is the best by far. It is subtle and gentle with out all the frills and ceremony. A slice of Perfection.

I just love the imagery! I feel like I'm right there with you, slurping away at my soda and earning angry glances from Daddy Michael as he encourages me to "run along and play" while "Mammy and Daddy have special time". Hehehehehe... Don't worry! I'm sure this lovely little scene will play out eventually!!! How could it not?
Although, I was surprised to read that it hadn't happened, since every word sounds so real... Great job, Mammy, and keep it up!!! *sets up cheerleading section* HUGGLES!!!
