Mocked by all around you
though I can't see why
An abomination by kin and form
though an opaque beauty is what I see
Hardening your soul;
wounding you deeper each time
Dripping unseen blood;
the beatings aren't half as cruel
They strip you of any pride
that you could have ever had
They strip you of your humanity
by calling you a monstrosity
A kind heart and soul
is insignificant and unnoticed
I stand apart from them all
because I can see what they never will
And in knowing this, a vow is made
I will see past the exterior
into your heart and into your eyes
I see the pain there, but also the beauty
And my promise stands firm and true;
for no matter what may happen
I see past the 'beast' and see you
Your fragile nature and love
Your soul so pure, though not untainted
Your heart full of love, though not of yourself
Your pure innocence, though you've seen so much
Your kind nature, though not to all
My one true vow to you, my love
I stand apart from all and embrace you
I stand by your side and dare to love you
I lift your spirit and help you embrace yourself
For you are truly worth embracing;
Worth loving
though I can't see why
An abomination by kin and form
though an opaque beauty is what I see
Hardening your soul;
wounding you deeper each time
Dripping unseen blood;
the beatings aren't half as cruel
They strip you of any pride
that you could have ever had
They strip you of your humanity
by calling you a monstrosity
A kind heart and soul
is insignificant and unnoticed
I stand apart from them all
because I can see what they never will
And in knowing this, a vow is made
I will see past the exterior
into your heart and into your eyes
I see the pain there, but also the beauty
And my promise stands firm and true;
for no matter what may happen
I see past the 'beast' and see you
Your fragile nature and love
Your soul so pure, though not untainted
Your heart full of love, though not of yourself
Your pure innocence, though you've seen so much
Your kind nature, though not to all
My one true vow to you, my love
I stand apart from all and embrace you
I stand by your side and dare to love you
I lift your spirit and help you embrace yourself
For you are truly worth embracing;
Worth loving
Author notes
Sharazon strikes again!
Sharazon belongs to Opaque Beauty, my lovely friend Toria. *nods*
The female character is mine and her name is Kira. *nods again*
If you haven't noticed, this poem is based on those characters.
Inspired by a lovely poem by Mr Vertigo, which can be found here:

Oh some people... Smiles to play nice I love the way that you write about the characters in poetry form. It makes them all the more beautiful and surreal...

Hehe, that's so sweet. I'm not sure what else to say about it. He really knows how to show the positive side of someone, doesn't he? *holds you close to me* Mine!

Bwahahaha! Sharazon on the prowwwlll.. o o; But, yes. This is bautiful, dear.
Just like all the other poems you write. ~Nod, nod.~ And, and, and... Yes. It really is quite charming to see that my characters can influence you so drastically. ^ ^; And in good ways, to boot!
Much loves, and all that other junk.

Toria wasn't online last night, so no worries.

This string of poetry inspired by your characters is quite amazing, actually. Perhaps you should publish it. XP

That poem was gorgeous. I adore it. Such beautiful poetry could never be honored enough, even to inspire another poet not even half as brilliant as you.

you kno rose, you are rally too kind to me, that you even see that side of me that everyone else seems to take advantage of or misunderstand. maybe we meet on that level. that i'm flattered that i could inspire anyone. i don't kno what to say... sigh.
