I said I loved you
To get it off my chest
I didn't have to
I didn't mean to
I cry a river, a flood
Think about all the times I've spilt my blood
And how you said you cared so much
That you loved me and such
But hearts have been ripped from within
Tired and worn thin
The light that you brought me
I darkened
I smothered
And cherished within
Our minds said fight
While our hearts said heal
Let this work out and deal
This time there will be no scar
Cause this time it didn't get that far
The love is cold now
It lies dead on the floor
Still we returned for more
More of the punishment
More of the pain
With nothing to gain
We needed it more than ever
We'll keep holding on forever
Never alone
Never together.
Author notes
This is a very personal one for me. Kinda discribes something that I went through.
