Lady

'Lady
Dear Lady...'

Do not call me a lady
I am no lady

I know what I am
And what I am not
A mere servant am I
For a lady I cannot be

'Dear Lady!
Can you not listen?
Can you not see?
A lady you are,
A lady to me.'

I refuse to be a lady
For a lady I cannot be!
A mere servant am I
A lady, I cannot to be.

'Wed me my Lady,
Dear Lady of mine,
Forever a lady,
Please, you must agree!'

I don’t want to be your lady
I decline my ladyship
Let it alone
Leave me be.
It has been known
A lady I simply cannot be.

A lady you say I am,
Together, lady and her man
But a Lady I am not,
Because you are no man.

Classical indeed. I love the flow and format, very interesting and different from other poems. ^.^ Wonderfully delivered, I loved how you ended this as well. Awesomely done.
