Eternity's Relief

The sigh of relief comes
As after a long withholding

The realization of such a long absence sets in
When the breath of salty air moves
To bring me in
Where the heavens and earth become one
At the edge of the sea
Reflecting the late sunlight
In the grey blue of our life

Forever falls as an experience
To be touched only here

In the glow of fire behind a hazy veil
Contrasting pale green in the waves

Inhaling heaven
The solitary wonder
Holding dusk

The eternity in my heart met

As for one moment
I belong

Author notes

i had gone down to the state park on the bayside back in april, and i hadn't been there all winter, so it really hit me to smell the potent salty air, and hear the waves, and see the sights, oh my, the ocean is really my thing!!!

    Nice.

Now I wonder what the L stands for?
No one has told me about an L.

And I is my luck that it would be an L. Or maybe my misfortune that the L will remind me of itself, or it's loss.

It's that sense of belonging that salt air brings, don't know why.
Such a beautiful, soft, compelling sort of lyrical piece here.
