She puts the bottle
That holds her sacred poison
Gingerly to her lips
She cries a thousand tears of loneliness
As she sucks the poison down
She's now a different person
A person her daughters fear
They cower in a corner
And cry their crimson tears
They watch the sacred poison
Turn their mother into Hyde
They run to get to their rooms
Before hell breaks out
They hide under their covers
Their mother comes in
The scared poison still in hand
She shouts and screams
And begins to quarrel
And yanks her eldest out of bed
She gets close to her
And with whisky stained breath she screams
"Your a fucking whore I wish I never had you"
Her eldest cries crimson tears of pain
She strikes her daughter across the cheek
Before sending her off to bed
She stumbles upon the couch
She takes one last swig of her sacred poison
Before sobering up in her dreams.

♥ This was really good and well expressed...telling a very sad story...although it was a bit choppy in some places and there were a few spelling errors as in the title...it didn't take away from the poem...wonderful poem, keep up the great work, and good luck in my contest!
